Love You Live

“Love You Live” was the third full length live record from The Rolling Stones, released in 1977. The Artwork for the album was done by Andy Warhol, with the writing on the jacket front by Mick Jagger.
Sides 1,2, & 4 were recorded at tour stops in Europe & the United States.
Side 3 was recorded during surprise appearances at the El Mocambo club in Toronto. The Stones (appearing under the name “The Cockroaches”) shared the bill with band April Wine, who was also recording their live album, “Live at the El Mocambo” at the same time. The plan had been for the Stones to play some of the blues covers from earlier in their career, but legal troubles resulted in Keith Richards arriving late for rehearsals. As such much of the quality of the sound on the recordings had to be improved with overdubs later in the studio.
