The pictures tell the story

The pictures tell the story

Produced by well-known English producer, engineer & mixer Glyn Johns, Eric Clayton’s 1977 album Slowhand opens with some of his best known songs, including the J.J. Cale penned “Cocaine”.  The artwork was done by Clapton himself, assisted by Dave Stewart & Pattie Boyd, ex wife of George Harrison & inspiration for “Wonderful Tonight”, who Clapton was dating at the time. Included in the pictures on the inside of the jacket is one of Boyd & Clapton kissing, & Clapton’s wrecked Ferrari, (which he bought after seeing Harrison with one,) the result of a near-fatal accident.
