Aerosmith — Get A Grip

Eleventh studio album from the band. Produced by Bruce Fairbairn, and partially recorded at Little Mountain Sound in Vancouver. It was the band’s best-selling album worldwide at 20 million copies, & their first to reach number one in the US. A handful of songs were recorded but not included on the album, one example being “Head First”, the b-side to the single release of “Eat The Rich”. “Head First” was also one of the first songs by a major artist ever to be released as a digital download, available to CompuServe subscribers as a 4 megabyte WAV file. Despite the fact that downloading the song using the modem technology of the day would require the better part of an hour, about 10000 people did so in the first few  days of its release. Two songs from the album each won the Grammy for Best Rock Performance by Duo or Group,  “Livin’ On the Edge” in 1993 & “Crazy” in 1994. Certified 7x platinum in the US, & Diamond in Canada.
