Fifth studio album from the Welsh singer. A change in musical styles from her previous work, Tyler worked closely with Jim Steinman, who both produced the album and wrote the original tracks, including the title track & the most well known track from the album, “Total Eclipse Of The Heart”. The remaining songs are covers, from artists such as John Fogerty and Bryan Adams, done in such a way as to model Phil Spectre’s Wall Of Sound style. Includes work by a number of guest musicians, such as Rick Derringer & Larry Fast, as well as names familiar to late night talk shows, Max Weinberg & Paul Schafer. The album peaked at 4 on the Billboard 200 chart, & 7 on the Canadian album charts, & was certified platinum in the US & double platinum in Canada.
