1997 reissue of the soundtrack from the 1961 film, the fourth such soundtrack by the artist. Includes previously unreleased alternate takes from the album. Noteworthy is the single, “Can’t Help Falling In Love”, which in the 1970s was the go-to closing song for Elvis’s concerts. It was therefore the last song he performed live at concert, June 26, 1977, in Indianapolis, Indiana. The original soundtrack release peaked at 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. It spent 20 weeks at number 1 and 39 weeks in the top ten. It also hit number 1 on the UK charts. It was certified triple platinum in the US, & gold in Canada.
