Gino Vannelli — Brother To Brother

Sixth studio by the Canadian singer from Montreal. His final record for A&M records. Vannelli & his brother Joe had moved to Los Angeles years before, & had waited desperately outside of the offices in the parking lot of A&M. When co-owner Herb Alpert finally appeared, Vannelli ran towards him with a demo tape, dodging security guards. Vannelli’s debut album, on A&M, would be released the following year. Brother To Brother features the single, “I Just Wanna Stop”, which peaked at  number 4 in the US & number 1 in Canada on the singles charts. It would also be nominated for a Grammy Award. The album would reach 13 on the Billboard 200, & 3 on the Canadian album charts. Brothers Geno & Joe would produce the album, along with third brother, Ross.
