Debut album from the country band from Los Angeles, California, named for a state highway that ran near the hometown of singer Paulette Carlson. Two of the singles were number 1 on the Country Singles Chart — “Somewhere Tonight” & “Cry, Cry, Cry” — meanwhile “Whiskey If You Were A Women hit number two & “The Bed You Made For Me” reached number four. The album peaked at seven on the Billboard Country Album chart. The two number one singles were also number one on the Canadian Country Singles chart, & the track “Woman Walk The Line” was redone by Trisha Yearwood in 1992. The band won 1988 Vocal Group of the Year, at both the Country Music Association Awards, & the Academy of Country Music Awards.
