Paul McCartney — Off The Ground

Ninth studio solo album from the English musician, recorded at Hog Hill Mill studios, which is owned by McCartney. Rather an a large group of featured guest performers, McCartney recorded with only his touring band, and recorded live-in-studio. In other words, the band would rehearse each track, and then record the entire band playing in one take, rather than recording each instrument track and vocal track individually. Although he doesn’t appear on the album, two of the tracks were co-written by Elvis Costello. The feet on the cover of the album are McCartney’s, his wife Linda, & the touring band. Although it was only certified gold in the US & Canada, it did find success in European countries such as Spain, & was McCartney’s best selling album in Germany, achieving a platinum certification in both of those countries.
