Sting — The Soul Cages

Third full- length studio album from the English artists featured during. It’s a concept album, that focuses on the death of the artist’s father. After his father’s death in 1987 Sting suffered a case of writer’s block that lasted several years until the creation of this album. As his father loved the sea & regretted never becoming a sailor, most of the songs are thematically related to sailing or the sea, along with references Newcastle, where Sting grew up. The title track won the first Grammy for Best Rock Song, & the album was certified platinum in both the US & Canada.
