The Beach Boys — Spirit Of America

Compilation album released as a follow up to Endless Summer, which had been released a year earlier. Composed of tracks from the band’s early albums, as well as two singles-only tracks, “Break Away” & “The Little Girl I Once Knew”. Opening track “Dance, Dance, Dance” was also included in a promotional only compilation album, “The Greatest Music Ever Sold”, released by Capitol to record stores at the end of 1976. Cover art was done by the same artist, Keith McConnell, who did the artwork for Endless Summer. Peaked at number 8 on the Billboard 200 & was certified gold in the US.
