UK Pressing of the debut album of the group, which was an offshoot of the band The Jam. Produced by band member Paul Weller. It was mostly recorded at Weller’s own studio, Solid Bond Studios. Although this was the band’s UK debut, an album with the singles & their b-sides had been previously released in some jurisdictions, including North America, entitled Introducing The Style Council. Adding to the confusion, Cafe Bleu was also released in the US with the title, My Ever Changing Moods, to take advantage of the popularity of the single from the album of that name. Regardless the album features a number of guest artists, including Tracey Thorn & Ben Watt from Everything But The Girl. It peaked at 56 on the Billboard 200, & 43 on the Canadian album charts, and reached two at home on the UK charts, where it’s certified gold.
