Compilation album of singles by the UK rock band. The album was named for the four members of the band themselves, respectively Daltrey, Moon, Entwistle, & Townsend. The inside cover shows the club where the band got their first break, in more ways than one as it was at a gig there that Townsend first ever smashed his guitar, as a response to the laughter from the crowd after he cracked his guitar’s neck on the low hanging ceiling above the stage. Long gone it’s now blocks of apartments, some of which have names such as Moon House & Daltrey House, in honour of the band. The album peaked at number 11 on the Billboard charts, & has been certified platinum in the US.
