Sixth studio album for the English band that was formed initially as a backup band for member David Coverdale after he left Deep Purple. The album was remixed before its North American release & is considered pivotal for the band as its first success in the US, & began the process that would see further fame as the decade progressed. It’s been described by critics as a mix between blues rock & glam metal. It peaked at number 40 on the Billboard 200 chart, & was certified double platinum in the US & platinum in Canada.
